Attention parents of St Aidan's CC students for 2020/21:

Monday 10 August 2020

We are continuing with planning to ensure a safe environment for students and staff for their return to school.

A few points to note:

  1. Students will be placed in base classrooms and the teachers will move to them. They will be collected and brought to practical and option classes.
  2. As per Department guidelines all students and staff will have to wear face coverings in school when they are not 2m apart.
  3. We are organising a starter pack which will be provided free and will have a visor, disposable masks, hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes for each student and staff member - these items will need to be replaced and topped up from home.
  4. Students who are feeling unwell should not be sent to school.
  5. Any student who travels out of Ireland must isolate for 14 days upon return and cannot attend school until after the isolation period

Some parents are asking about supply lists and books. We ask that you would use any current copies or hardbacks that you have space in rather than buying new ones. If you need to purchase new ones, start with one per subject and if extra is needed, students will be advised by teachers upon return to school. Links for book rental payment will be resent in the next few days. Book rental books which were due to be returned can be handed in at the office - please ensure names are on the books. We will be sending a letter next week with further details about the start dates for students, starting from Tuesday 1st September.
