Welcome

St. Aidan’s Community College was founded in 1983 to provide a comprehensive system of post-primary education for the community. The College has a complete range of the most up-to-date equipment and facilities necessary for the teaching of a comprehensive curriculum to Leaving Certificate Higher Level in all our subjects.

The College Spirit is enshrined in our Motto: "Bíodh bhur solas ag taithneamh - Let your light shine". Each pupil has ideals to cherish and talents to develop. The aim of the College is to ensure that each pupil lets his or her light shine; cherishes his or her ideals whilst respecting the ideals of others; develops his or her talents whilst respecting the talents of all.

This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to purchase IT devices and accessories that could be used in class or on loan to students for CBA’s, access to TEAMS accounts and production of portfolios for projects. Devices were also purchased for EAL students to help with translations.
